Meet & Greet!

Hi. I'm the one on the right. The guy on the left isn't as crafty as me and to be honest I don't even know him. Okay, I'm kidding, that's my husband, Nate but I'm not kidding about him not being as crafty as me. That part is totally true but he has his own "creative outlets" that he does which may or may not involve ESPN (all the sports that entails), firearms, hunting, fishing and of course, me!

I thought I would take some time, after 2 years, to introduce myself and my little business, Just Darlin'. So, if I have bored you already, I apologize and you may wanna stop reading now. If not and you are totally enthralled by this, I must be doing something right.

Meet Sam (aka Samantha, Sambo Jo, Sammyantha, Sammy, etc.)

Ohhhhh, where do I start? I'm not starting at the beginning on how I was born on a rainy Friday night in September. BORING. Let's fast forward 23 years to 2012; I think would be in everyone's best interest. I'm going to give you some facts about yours truly. So, sit back, grab a sweet tea and enjoy!

1. Right now, at this moment, I just watched my dog ingest a dead fly, spit it out, put it on the couch in front of me like he brought me a present and then ingested said fly once more. That's a Boxer for ya.

2. My b-day is September 16.

3. I met my hubby on MySpace - remember when that was the cool thing?!

4. I graduated high school in 2006.

5. I don't really have a favorite color - I think they are all beautiful!

6. I work at a firearms distributor that specializes in replica firearms from the 1800s and I love it!

7. My favorite thing to drink is sweet tea.

8. I have been best friends with the same person since kindergarten - she's the sibling I never had.

9. I am an only child. I hope most of you would have concluded that from the last fact but just in case you didn't...I added it in there. =)

10. I think my grandma is the best cook. She makes some mean chicken & dumplings.

11. I have an American Quarter Horse, Dixie.

12. I'm a righty.

13. I love to go bowling - I even have my own bowling ball and shoes. I'm hardcore.

14.  According to Nate, I'm just like my mother. I, personally, don't see that as a bad thing.

15. My cousin is my next door neighbor.

16. Some things that I miss are summers spent at grandma's, my great grandaddy, Ziggy (my German Shepherd - there will never be another dog like him), Looney Toons, old Nickelodeon shows, the beach and the list continues...

17. I am an extreme procrastinator.

18. I can't hold my breath underwater.

19. I'm terrified of needles.

20. I'm blessed.

21. I love being from the country. It's simpler and I like to visit the city but I like home better. 

22. I have a scar on my left knee from a bicycle accident when I was in the 6th grade. Ouch!

23. I don't like people singing to me. 

24. I have 2 Smash* journals. I think they are the coolest things but I don't know what to put in them even though I have ideas written down. I don't want to do a page and then hate it because then I think that I've ruined the whole journal. 

25. Summer is my favorite season.


26. I love to color!


Welcome to Just Darlin'!


To be honest, I don't really know how Just Darlin' came about other than I worked with someone who need some cards and she said that if I made them that she would buy them from me. It caught on to other people I worked with, I started a Facebook fan page, a blog and eventually a Twitter and here I am. Just Darlin' is not, by any means, giving Hallmark a run for their money. Its more of a hobby and something fun to do in my spare time and gives me a little bit of spare cash here and there.
