Pretty as a Rose...

I am seriously in love with cabochons. I got them from Michael's and you can do pretty much anything with these little things.

My new found favorite thing to do with these....jewelry! How cute is this pendant and earrings set? I can't wait to get more colors! They are definitely on my "things to buy because I have to make something right now" list. I can't wait to actually make myself one but I really want to stock up on some inventory because I'm thinking about doing a Christmas bazaar this year. I really need to get my butt in gear and make stuff.

Scrabble Tile to Pendant

Aren't these the cutest little things you've ever seen? These current creations of mine are Scrabble tile pendants. They are so easy to make. So go get some Scrabble tiles - probably not from your board game because then it would be a little difficult to spell that one word you need to score double points - and create! I'll tell you how.

Materials
1. Scrabble tiles
2. Mod Podge or Elmer's School Glue
3. Patterned Paper or whatever your want to use to make your pendant
4. Loopy Pendant Thing - I forget what it's called and you can find them in the jewelry section of your local craft store
5. Glaze
6. Strong adhesive - E6000 is what I recommend

Directions
1. Find a section of your patterned paper that you want to design your tile with.
2. Place your tile on that section of the paper and cut around the tile leaving an edge
3. Brush glue onto the blank side of the tile and apply paper
4. Press firmly and cut the excess paper to the edge of the tile
5. Apply glaze - be sure to get rid of any bubbles - let dry
6. Apply E6000 to both surfaces - Loopy Silver Pendant thing and the tile - let it bond for at least 10 minutes for a strong hold
7. Wear your new pendant proud!

I would love to see your pendants! Please post your links to your blog in the comments section!

HairMarks

These little beauties are a product of yours truly. I don't know if anyone else has thought of something like this and I'm sure they have but I haven't seen it so I take credit until I'm told otherwise.

These are what I call HairMarks. Yes, I should trademark that name. Don't ya think? They are felt flower embellies w/ buttons sewn on to them and then they are glued on to a bobby pin. You can put these in your or your child's hair for a cute accessory or use them as a bookmark.

Get the name HairMark?? Hair accessory. Bookmark. Clever, eh?

Right now I'm working on a plethora of things. Scrabble tile pendants. A Halloween wreath that is completely blowing my mind (that's a whole different ballgame and a whole other blog entry), cards, magnets, shrinky dink buttons...

Once I get all of these wonderful projects completed you will be able to see them for yourself. I know you are so excited! Me too!

I hope you are staying dry if you are on the East Coast. It's a little damp where I am and I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend!

Punkin'

I think I have a problem. Okay, it's probably not a problem but I think I have an unhealthy obsession with pumpkins. That sounds like a problem doesn't it? Oh well, call it what you want. Now that I have my own house and I'm excited to decorate for Halloween. Yes, I know, it's over a month away but for some reason I just can't wait to decorate for the holiday.

So, while I'm wallerin' in boredom, I thought I would share some neat ideas for decorating your punkins this season. Enjoy!
