Flea Market Find

I found this "thing" yesterday at our local flea market which is like 10 minutes from my house. I call it a thing because I'm not really sure what it is but I'm pretty sure on what I'm going to do with it. I think this piece of awesomeness is the back of an old mantel or dresser. I only paid $23 for it when he wanted $29. I got a pretty good bargain.

TA-DA!!!! I took the first photo into Photoshop and added the lettering. We are going to fix the crack in the back and repaint it (maybe on the painting) I think I like it the way it is. I'm pretty excited about this! This is my first ever refurbishing project. Can't wait to buy some knick knacks to put on the little shelf! It looks like there are going to be more flea markets for me!

Buffalo Ranch Chicken Dip **Deliciousness**

This is a great 4th of July covered dish. If you need something to quick to take for a last minute cookout this dip will be everyone's favorite. The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients
2 cups of cooked chicken, shredded (I use chunky chicken breast canned chicken. You may think that sounds gross but it's all white meat and it's really good. If you haven't tried it yet...you need to.)
1 - 8 oz. brick cream cheese, soft
1/2 cup of ranch salad dressing
1/2 cup of hot sauce
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbs. of powdered ranch dip mix (Hidden Valley)

Mix all of these yummy ingredients together in a bowl and then pour into a casserole dish. Then, bake for 20 minutes and enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips. Let me know what you think. Oh yeah, I have to give props to my cousin, Jess, who gave me this recipe! Have a great 4th of July weekend everyone!

Stylish Dog Leash

Yup. That's if that what you think it is, you're right! It's a dog leash braided w/ scrap fabric and it's so cute! I made following this tutorial but I did it a little differently because I couldn't quite understand that tutorial. I took 3 strands of fabric and knotted them on the clasp and then braided. Once your fabric starts getting too short to braid just knot on another onto the remaining strand. It's pretty easy. Go make one and let your doggy be shabby chic and cute!

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend! Stay safe and have fun!
