The Strasburg Emporium

If you are ever in the Shenandoah Valley area - which is where I live (Stephens City to be more exact) there is a little town called Strasburg. Strasburg is one of those towns that if you blink your eye you are already through it. This little town is about 15 minutes from my house and my hubby and I went there today to search for something for our naked house at The Great Strasburg Emporium.

This place has tons of antiques. TONS. There is room upon room full of furniture, dishes, bottles and just some really cool stuff. I feel very fortunate today because I got this...
I LOVE this thing. It's so vintage and shabby. I can't wait to put some knick knacks on it! So cute! I really want to put a little lamp on it. The best part about it was that it wasn't so expensive. It was a deal my husband and I couldn't pass up. It's manufactured by the Union Furniture Company in Rockford, IL and it's from around the 1920s. We already put some old books in the top that my husband's grandmother gave us.

My weekend didn't turn out too shabby. I can't believe that tomorrow is Monday and we have to go back to work. Ugh. Oh well. Have a great Sunday night everyone!

  1. Hmmm, I am looking for a unit like that for my bathroom. Just stunning! Those little towns always have the best finds!
